Mino T belongs to the group tetracycline, which is used to treat infections caused by bacteria. Mino T works by interfering with the ability of the bacteria to produce proteins, which is very essential to the growth and increase of numbers to the bacteria. Mino T stops the spread of infection and the remaining bacteria are killed by the immune system or eventually die.

Mino T indications

Mino T is indicated for the treatment different infections caused by bacteria such as:

Acne vulgaris

Bronchitis

Eye infections

Gonorrhea

Infections of the ears, nose or throat

Infections of the urinary tract

Inflammation of the prostate gland due to infection

Inflammation of the urethra due to infection

Pelvic inflammatory disease

Pneumonia

Prevention of infections following surgery

Skin or soft tissue infections

Your doctor may prescribe Mino T for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide.

Mino T warnings

Before taking Mino T tell your doctor if you have:

Abnormal muscle weakness

Decreased liver function

Long-term inflammation of skin and some internal organs

systemic lupus erythematosus

People taking medicines that may have side effects on the liver

Severely decreased kidney function

Kidney failure

Do not take Mino T if you are allergic to its active ingredient or any of its inactive ingredients. If you have an allergy to Mino T, stop taking Mino T and immediately tell your doctor about it.

Mino T should not be used during pregnancy as it may present harm to the unborn baby. Seek medical advice.

Mino T intake guidelines

Chances or risks of having side effects may be increased if a large amount of Mino T is prolonged in use.

Take Mino T at regular interval. Complete the prescribed course of Mino T unless otherwise directed by your doctor. Stopping the course early increases the chance that the infection will come back and that the bacteria will grow resistant to the antibiotic.

Do not take iron preparations or indigestion remedies as the same time of taking Mino T.

Mino T dosage

Take Mino T exactly as prescribed by you doctor or as directed in the package. If you have any problems understanding it, ask your doctor about it. Your doctor will tell you how many tablets you need to take each day.

Mino T overdose

Seek immediate medical attention if you suspect any symptoms of an overdose of Mino T.

There are no reported incidences of a Mino T overdose.

Mino T missed dose

Take the missed dose of Mino T as soon as you remember. However, it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose of Mino T to avoid unwanted adverse side effects.

Diarrhea

Overgrowth of the yeast Candida

Staining of skin, nails, teeth, sweat, tears, eyes, breast milk
